Kind Words Are Sweet Tones of the Heart

Here are some kinds words given to me recently.

"If you delegate to Sister Scott, you know you can sleep at night." ~President Lee

Sister Lee at a zone conference told the sisters that not only was I good at what I do, but I was also FUN!

"You are a diamond in the rough. You were meant to be here (in my missionary position as mission secretary) at this time."  ~Housing coordinator Elder Kerby

Every time I see President Keller, counselor to President Lee, he always commends me, telling me that I am so good at what I do.  The last time he saw me he said that he could tell I give my all.  

President Gibbons, other counselor to President Lee asked me one day, as I hit my year mark, what my plans were.  He thought I was leaving.  I told him I was planning on a 3 year mission.  He looked at me with the warmest eyes and gratitude in his heart.  I could tell.   "Thank you," he said,   "You have given me the best news of the day." 

Yesterday Sister O'Keef, vehicle coordinator, told me that she is so happy to have served this mission so she could meet me!

Thank you.  This all means a lot. I write these things down to remember, not to brag. :)

Believe

 I woke up this morning singing a song from the new hymnbook called " Believe ."  Then what happens? I come to zone conference for the Service Missionaries and the choir was practicing a song for it.  Of course, it was this song.  This happens all the time!   You know what Albert Einstein said. " There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."  Here are the words to the song.  Believe Because He walked the path, I know the way. Because He calmed the storm, I'm not afraid. My Blessing

  On June 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm I was set apart by the stake president as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I couldn't have been more happy about anything. My whole heart and soul were so happy.  I was fasting and so prepared to receive this blessing. My blessing.  Pres Dunkley blessed me to have the spirit to guide me in my duties. He blessed me with the ability to love the missionaries and to form life long relationships with them. He blessed me with health.  Here's the kicker! He blessed me that my arms and legs function properly.  I was a little surprised about the last words in the blessing. You see, the night before, Saturday, May 30th, I was in the emergency department at the University of Utah hospital with a terrible pain in my right leg.  President Dunkley did not know about this visit to the hospital.
